Social comment of the Gospel of Matthew
Dear Visitors and Readers,
we have prepared for you a social comment of the “Gospel of Matthew”, by the “Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the
Church” and the Social Encyclical Letter “Caritas in
Veritate” (Charity in
truth).
The reason why preparing this comment is the fact that in her Compendium of the Social Doctrine of the
Church the Catholic Church offers her
social doctrine to all people of our time.
Proclaiming the Gospel, she
bears witness to man, to his dignity and his vocation to the communion of
persons, in the name of Jesus Christ, the blessed God’s Son.
“Charity in truth” and truth in charity are the
principal driving forces behind the authentic development of every person and
of all humanity. They also are an extraordinary force which leads people to opt
for courageous and generous engagement in the field of justice and peace in the world.
Their extraordinary force has its
origin in God, Eternal Love and Absolute
Truth.
The power of the Gospel and the wisdom of God may lead the Church,
all readers, and all people of good will, to opt for a courageous and generous
engagement in constructing a world of justice and peace, in conformity
with the divine wisdom and will. God bless you.
