(Gal 6, 1-6) Each one must examine his own work

[1] Brothers, even if a person is caught in some transgression, you who are spiritual should correct that one in a gentle spirit, looking to yourself, so that you also may not be tempted. [2] Bear one another's burdens, and so you will fulfill the law of Christ. [3] For if anyone thinks he is something when he is nothing, he is deluding himself. [4] Each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason to boast with regard to himself alone, and not with regard to someone else; [5] for each will bear his own load. [6] One who is being instructed in the word should share all good things with his instructor.

(CCC 2012) "We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him… For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the first-born among many brethren. And those whom he predestined he also called; and those whom he called he also justified; and those whom he justified he also glorified" (Rom 8:28-30). (CCC 2004) Among the special graces ought to be mentioned the graces of state that accompany the exercise of the responsibilities of the Christian life and of the ministries within the Church: Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith; if service, in our serving; he who teaches, in his teaching; he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who contributes, in liberality; he who gives aid, with zeal; he who does acts of mercy, with cheerfulness (Rom 12:6-8).
